Cultural AdvisorNgāti Marutūahu te Iwi, Ngāti Tamatera rāua ko Ngāti Pāoa ōku hapū.
Ngāti Kahungunu te Iwi, Ngāi Kohatu rāua ko Ngāti Peehi ōku hapū.
I have worked in the health and social services sector for many years, both in the government and not-for-profit sectors, focusing predominantly on education within these spaces. In 2019, I developed a practice model - Ko Wai Au 2.0 - as a Kaitiaki (PGDip Professional Bicultural Supervision (Kaitiakitanga)) with Te Whare Wānanga o Aotearoa. I understand our country’s history beginning with He Wakapūtanga o Te Rangatiratanga o Niu Tireni and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. I promote discussions around equity and cultural safety, where health professionals articulate their practice kawa and tikanga when working with others, as a minimum step towards understanding how we show up in the lives of others.
