Who We Are
The Nurse Practitioner Training Support Scheme (NPTSS) is a national initiative in Aotearoa New Zealand that provides wraparound support for Registered Nurses during their final practicum year and the first six months of registration as a Nurse Practitioner Mātanga Tapuhi.

We may also collect personal information about you from other sources where it is necessary for application assessment, programme administration, verification, reporting, or where otherwise permitted or required by law. These sources may include:
• your nominated Tertiary Education Provider or other participating Tertiary Education Providers;
• your employer, workplace, supervisor, referee, or other nominated contact;
• professional registration bodies, where required to confirm registration status or eligibility;
• education or training providers, where required to confirm enrolment, completion, or programme-related information;
• organisations involved in administering, funding, auditing, or evaluating NPTSS.
This information may include confirmation of your employment, workplace, professional registration, education or training status, application details, eligibility information, participation information, or information needed to administer or evaluate the scheme.
Where necessary, we may verify information you provide, including employment, workplace, education, training, professional registration, or eligibility information, with relevant third parties such as employers, TEPs, professional registration bodies, referees, or programme partners.
We may also collect limited technical and usage information automatically when you interact with our website and digital platforms, including through cookies, tracking technologies, and log or session information, as outlined below:
· Cookies – Cookies are small files a website or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow). We may use cookies to recognise your browser, remember your preferences, understand website usage, and improve our services. Cookies do not generally contain personally identifiable information. You can manage, disable, or delete cookies through your browser settings.
· Tracking technologies and third-party cookies - The use of cookies by our service providers is not covered by our privacy statement. • your nominated TEP, for application assessment and programme administration; and
• participating TEPs, limited to your name and nominated TEP preference, to support and streamline application assessment.

o government agencies where required by law; and
o other parties where you have authorised us to do so.
We may also use anonymised or aggregated information for statistical, research, reporting, and programme evaluation purposes where individuals cannot reasonably be identified.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade personal information to third parties. We will only disclose information about you or your use of the website and/or services without your prior permission if we have a good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

Personal information is stored using secure systems and appropriate access controls. Personal information collected by NPTSS is primarily stored in New Zealand.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for:
programme administration;

When personal information is no longer required, it is securely destroyed or permanently de-identified.
